Alberta Real Estate License Parking

How Does Parking Your License Work?

How does it work? Park and Protect’s brokerage model is best suited for real estate agents in Alberta who are not active in the industry but want to keep their licenses active and get paid referral fees.  Since we are a non-MLS® brokerage you do not have to worry about monthly board fees or fees and dues to the provincial and national associations.  We certainly are not for everyone, in fact, we are a bad fit for active agents who need more from a real estate brokerage other than being able to keep their license active.

The process of registering your license with us takes very little time and can be done online!  We want to make the transition as smooth and painless as possible. Park and Protect has a quick and simple way to register your real estate license.

Once your license is registered with us you no longer have to worry about your registration lapsing and if your license will expire.  Just like every other real estate professional in the Province of Alberta you will need to renew your license on September 30th.  RECA’s 2023-2024 fee schedule will show you exactly how much it will cost to register as a new licensee or to reinstate your registration.  It is important to note that from the period of July 1st to September 30th, licensing fees and the REIX (Real Estate Insurance Exchange) premium is reduced for that three month period.
